| For four decades SEMA,
the Specialty Equipment Market Association, has been at the
forefront of the automotive aftermarket – a unique industry
dedicated to the enhanced performance, appearance and handling of
all types of passenger cars, light trucks and recreational
vehicles.
Now more than 5,200 companies
strong, SEMA has evolved into an international trade association,
which today serves and embraces a diverse constituency
representing the full spectrum of the specialty automotive
equipment industry.
From performance products for
street and race applications to appearance accessories for
late-model automobiles, SEMA-member companies contribute to the
vitality and strength of a $29 billion-a-year retail industry.
Cosmetic accessories and handling equipment for the booming sport
compact market, along with parts and accessories for muscle cars,
classics, street rods and light trucks are all part of this
industry. It's not hard to see why our industry's contribution is
felt throughout the automotive marketplace, as well as by the
legislative and regulatory bodies that govern it. |
